Burners made with special materials and custom design

When a plant has unique constraints – narrow air ducts, high temperatures, aggressive atmospheres – SBE special burners come into play.

Duct burners, for example, are developed for post-combustion and energy recovery applications, with custom configurations to ensure optimal integration into existing systems.

Thanks to the use of advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation software, every project is studied in detail to ensure a stable, safe and efficient flame profile. Duct burners

SBE duct burners are designed for post-combustion applications in air ducts and energy recovery systems. Their function is to raise the temperature of gaseous flows leaving turbines or furnaces, improving the overall efficiency of the plant.

Design is carried out on a bespoke basis, taking into account duct geometries, flow velocities and fuel characteristics. Thanks to the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and advanced regulation systems, duct burners ensure a stable and uniform flame, reducing consumption and emissions. They are particularly suited to cogeneration plants and processes requiring precise thermal control.

Special materials

In environments characterised by extreme temperatures, corrosive atmospheres or the presence of abrasive dusts, burners require special materials.

SBE uses high-resistance alloys, refractory materials and treated components to ensure durability and safety. Material selection is made according to operating conditions, ensuring reliability (including in metallurgical, cement and chemical processes).
This design attention reduces plant downtime and maintenance costs, offering robust and long-lasting solutions.

Special positioning

Some plants impose particular installation constraints (such as, for example: limited space, unusual orientations, restricted access).

Thanks to special positioning capability, SBE burners are designed to adapt to specific conditions without compromising performance. Horizontal, vertical or inclined configurations; compact systems, custom flanges. All of this allows an SBE burner to be integrated at any point in the plant.
This approach ensures process continuity, even in situations where standard solutions would not be applicable.

Special environmental conditions

High humidity, dusty atmospheres, very high or very low external temperatures: these are all factors that put a combustion system under severe stress. SBE burners for special environmental conditions are developed to withstand extreme contexts, thanks to additional protections, dedicated cooling systems and reinforced components.
In this way, safety and reliability can be guaranteed even in outdoor plants or in regions with extreme climatic conditions.

Special shape burners (custom-design burners)

When a plant has particular geometric constraints – cylindrical kilns, narrow chambers, non-conventional configurations – SBE burners are designed with special shapes.
Every project is studied to optimise flame distribution and ensure correct air-fuel mixing, maintaining high efficiency standards. Special shape burners are ideal for the revamping of existing plants and for new installations where mechanical compatibility is a critical factor.
